Somayagya 2010 - One day to go...
Your
Yagya looks very impressive-may it illumine the myriad of
minds and matter. -
Ian, South Africa
With just one day to go before we start everything is
nearing completion for the beginning of the Somayagya. We
have been graced by cloudy skies which have made all the
outdoor construction work very easy in the Indian summer.
Our scientific team have come from Bangalore and the
measurements of the influence on the atmosphere have
commenced.
Construction
Update

Construction of the main structure is nearing completion
the roofing is being woven. The entire yagyashala is made of
locally sourced natural materials and is being prepared by
local artisans. On Friday some work might take place during
the night to complete all that needs completion in the
required time.
Soma Yagya
Documentary
\
We are happy to have a volunteer who has arrived from
South Africa who will be taking footage of our Somayagya and
be preparing a visual document of this special practice for
future generations. Vedic chanting has been declared a world
heritage by UNESCO and the more we can do to preserve this
great science, the better. We wish to thank Mr. Benjamin
Pitcher for kindly donating the video equipment that is
being used for the filming.
Soma Yagya Booklet Released

We are happy to share with all the release of our booklet
entitled
Soma Yagyas and Global Healing. It has been meticulously
prepared by the Samskrti Foundation in Mysore and overseen
by the renowned Professor Lakshmi Tatachar and his Alwar
Tatachar his son. It is a comprehensive overview of yagyas
and Soma Yagyas.

Volunteers

Volunteers have arrived from each corner of India to
server this project from the bottom of their hearts. The
entire project is being co-coordinated and operated by
volunteers and a team of experts in everything from spice
grinding to fire pit building have arrived. Many of them
have been involved with Soma Yagyas for decades and they
understand and know the value of this ancient tradition. The
spirit of service is a yagya in itself and very special to
observe. The documentary we are preparing will include some
interviews with these great souls.
Yagya Research
- Update

A very elated Mr. Judu has arrived from Bangalore with
the special
equipment that will be used to measure the actual effect
of this ancient technology on global consciousness. We will
be publishing the result as a chapter in our
forthcoming booklet on Soma Yagyas and Global Healing.
Two days before the event and two days after will be
measured to give a reference point for comparing the data.
In a few days we expect the arrival of
Dr. Alex Hanckey who will be assisting with the
experiment supervision.
